I am a licensed clinical social worker, specializing in trauma treatment. I have ten years of experience working with adolescents and adults as they seek to heal from emotional and sexual abuse, relationship violence, and family environments impacted by addiction and mental illness. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of traumatic memory. I use a blend of mindfulness and structural dissociation theory to heal the aspects of the self that were impacted by trauma. This method supports you to fully and deeply heal painful life experiences. My work is grounded in clinical assessment and diagnosis. I use a variety of diagnostic instruments to accurately determine the origin of symptoms and to inform treatment. I practice with a profound respect for the intelligence of the mind, body and spirit to heal. I believe that a safe therapeutic space is the essential first step.
